Qualidigm, the national collaborative healthcare consulting think tank company in Wethersfield, Conn., has hired executive Eric Boone as vice president of finance and operations. In this role, Boone provides strategic leadership and oversight to the financial, operations and information technology systems company-wide.

“I am delighted to welcome Eric to Qualidigm as vice president of finance and operations,” said Tim Elwell, Ph.D., Qualidigm president and CEO. “His extensive experience in financial management, strategic planning, operational efficiencies and project management position him well to become an integral part of the Qualidigm leadership team as we continue to focus on growth to expand and extend the company’s mission on a local, regional and national level,” said Elwell.

As Qualidigm’s newly-appointed vice president of finance and operations, Boone is responsible for  establishing and monitoring effective internal management, financial and operations reporting systems; ensuring compliance with governmental and management expectations; ensuring protection of the assets of the business through internal control, internal auditing, disaster recovery/business continuity; developing the company’s financial management strategy; and ensuring proper insurance and associated risk mitigation/avoidance coverage. Working closely with Dr. Elwell and the finance and administration team, Boone will help to transform the Qualidigm back-office in support of the company’s aggressive growth and roll-up strategy. “Qualidigm provides a unique opportunity to make a real difference in healthcare. Boone joins Qualidigm from the Hartford Parking Authority (HPA), an independent enterprise of the City of Hartford managing all City held parking assets, where he served as the chief executive officer and led HPA’s long term strategy to foster economic and community development for the City of Hartford. Boone was also formerly a senior project manager at Westinghouse Electric Company in Windsor, Conn., a fuel, engineering services and technology provider to the global commercial nuclear power industry, where he was assigned project management deals with a value of $50 million. Prior to Westinghouse, Boone was a Lieutenant in the US Navy serving as a Surface Warfare Officer onboard an Aegis Destroyer and Cruiser.

Boone earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md. and a Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University, Tempe, Ariz. He is also a Certified Project Management Professional.
