Our 3-part webinar series on “Youth Transitions to Adult Care Webinar Series” reviewed effective strategies to empower adolescents during the adolescent well visit.  We explored key concepts to cover throughout the young person’s growth from early adolescent to young adult as well as how to support your patient’s independence and confidentiality in the process.

The presenter for the series was Jonathan Fanburg, MD. Dr. Fanburg is a pediatrician and adolescent medicine specialist who enjoys patient care, community outreach, public health, and teaching. Skilled in inpatient and outpatient clinical care of both stable and acutely ill neonates, children, and adolescents. Skilled in program development and using quality improvement in the workplace setting. Experience working with the media, legislation, and political groups in Maine and nationally. Adolescent medicine fellowship training, Master of Public Health degree, and over 20 years of community practice experience in Maine.
